I am Aleksandar Jovanovic, software developer from Belgrade, Serbia. I’ve been working in the Klotzen development team for the last two years.
Working on Klotzen has been an interesting experience. What I like the most is that you often encounter problems where some creativity is required to resolve them.
It’s a work from home job and it frequently required staying up late at night to completely finish this or that part of the game. But then the mornings were very rewarding, knowing that a complex game system that took lot of time and effort is finally implemented. Of course, sometimes you stay up due to bugs, but it’s all part of the job.

I think staying close to the historical accuracy is a great advantage of this game. Also, I like how logistics/supply are large part of the game and working on that was extremely interesting. You could say that supply gives a game an interesting new dimension.

We are working hard to implement as many interesting mechanics into the game to keep the game interesting to dedicated players. There are so many different mechanics.

It’s hard to win, it really forces you to think carefully and it’s one of the main reasons I enjoy playing it.

I am fascinated by the technological advancements made during the WW2. A great example are the advances in rocketry that directly influenced the space exploration and satellite networks we have today. And of course, the advances and improvements in the air industry are amazing.
